Designed for manual milling machines, boring mills, and large radial drills utilizing Morse Taper spindles, this chuck features a thick-walled body and a specialized nut packed with needle bearings. As you tighten the nut, the bearings compress the internal straight collet with immense, evenly distributed pressure. This results in a gripping force up to 3-4 times higher than a standard ER chuck, providing the extreme rigidity needed for large-diameter end mills and heavy material removal.

Milling Chucks (Power Chucks) use a solid, thick-walled straight collet and a needle-bearing nut. They offer significantly higher clamping force and rigidity, making them the superior choice for heavy roughing and large end mills.
Q2: How do I clamp different sized tools in this chuck?
A: The chuck itself has a fixed internal bore (e.g., 32mm for an MT4-C32 chuck). To hold a tool with a 32mm shank, you insert it directly. To hold smaller shanks (e.g., 10mm, 12mm, 20mm), you insert a Straight Reduction Collet (e.g., C32-10, C32-20) into the chuck first, and then insert your tool.
Q3: What drawbar thread do these MT shanks use?
A: Because milling creates heavy side loads, these chucks must be secured with a drawbar (MTB style). Standard metric threads are:
MT3: M12 thread
MT4: M16 thread
MT5: M20 thread (Please verify your machine's drawbar thread before ordering).
Q4: Do I need a special wrench to tighten this?
A: Yes, power chucks require a specific C-Spanner (Hook Wrench) that fits into the slots on the outside of the bearing nut. Using the correct wrench ensures you can apply the necessary torque to achieve maximum clamping force.
