The greatest challenge in precision milling is preventing the workpiece from lifting or tilting when the vise jaws are tightened. Standard machine vises often allow the movable jaw to flex upward under pressure, ruining the perpendicularity of the cut. The ACCU-Lock Precision Machine Vise solves this problem permanently. Utilizing a proven "angle-lock" (anti-lift) design, the clamping force is redirected diagonally downward. For every pound of horizontal clamping force, a proportional downward force is applied to the movable jaw, seating the workpiece dead-flat against the vise bed. This guarantees exceptional accuracy and repeatability, making it the most trusted workholding solution for CNC machining centers worldwide.
Anti-Lift Angle-Lock Mechanism: The core technology. A semi-sphere segment inside the movable jaw drives it downward as it clamps forward, ensuring the workpiece never lifts off the parallels during tightening or heavy machining.
High-Strength Ductile Iron Body: The vise body and fixed jaw are cast from premium FCD60 (80,000 PSI) ductile iron. This material absorbs cutting vibrations far better than steel and prevents the vise bed from bending or distorting under extreme clamping pressure.
Extreme Precision & Parallelism: The vise bed, jaw plates, and sliding surfaces are flame-hardened (HRC 45+) and precision-ground. Parallelism and squareness are guaranteed to be within 0.01mm per 100mm (0.0004" per 4").
Massive Clamping Force: The fully enclosed, hardened lead screw and thrust bearing design allows the operator to apply immense clamping pressure smoothly and effortlessly, securing even the toughest materials for heavy roughing.
Versatile Mounting: The vise base features precision-machined keyways and side mounting flanges, allowing it to be easily aligned and clamped to the T-slots of any standard CNC mill or rotary table.
Direct Manufacturer Savings: Bypass trading companies and source industry-standard CNC workholding solutions directly from our factory for highly competitive wholesale pricing.
Multiple Sizes Available: While the 6-inch (150mm) jaw width is the industry standard for most VMCs, we also manufacture 4-inch (100mm) and 8-inch (200mm) models to suit different machine envelopes and part sizes.
Optional Swivel Base: All our ACCU-Lock vises can be equipped with a precision-graduated 360-degree swivel base for angular milling and drilling operations.
Strict Quality Control: Every single vise is rigorously inspected using CMMs and dial indicators for bed flatness, jaw parallelism, and clamping repeatability before it leaves our facility.
Q1: How exactly does the "ACCU-Lock" or "Angle-Lock" mechanism work?
A: Inside the movable jaw, the lead screw pushes against a hemispherical nut (or segment) that sits in an angled pocket. When you tighten the screw, this segment pushes the jaw forward against the part, but the angle also forces the jaw downward against the vise bed. This downward vector counteracts the natural tendency of the jaw to tip backward, keeping your part perfectly flat.
Q2: Can I mount multiple ACCU-Lock vises side-by-side on my CNC table?
A:Yes. The sides of our ACCU-Lock vise bodies are precision-machined parallel to the jaw faces. This allows you to mount two or more vises side-by-side on your machine table to hold exceptionally long workpieces, such as rails or extrusions, with perfect alignment.
Q3: Are the jaw plates replaceable?
A: Yes. The hardened steel jaw plates are bolted onto the jaw bodies and can be easily removed. You can replace them with standard hard jaws, soft jaws (machinable aluminum or mild steel for custom part profiles), or step jaws depending on your workholding needs.
Q4: What maintenance is required for this vise?
A: To maintain precision and longevity, keep the vise bed and lead screw clean of chips and coolant residue. Periodically apply a light coat of way oil or rust preventative to the ground sliding surfaces, and grease the lead screw through the provided grease zerk fitting.
Eliminate workpiece lift and achieve flawless machining accuracy with our 6-Inch ACCU-Lock Precision Machine Vises.
