The QKG Series Vise (Pin Type) is a staple in any precision machine shop. Unlike traditional screw-type vises, the QKG features a series of holes along its base. To adjust the jaw opening, you simply remove the locking pin, slide the jaw to the desired position, re-insert the pin, and tighten the locking screw for final clamping pressure. This "quick-action" mechanism makes it incredibly efficient when machining batches of parts with varying sizes. Because it is completely solid and precision-ground all over, the vise can be flipped onto any of its perfectly square faces during operation.
Quick-Action Pin Mechanism: Allows for instant macro-adjustments of the jaw opening, saving valuable setup time compared to winding a long lead screw.
Extreme Accuracy: Parallelism and squareness are strictly controlled to within 0.005mm per 100mm (0.0002"), ensuring your parts meet the tightest tolerances.
Premium Hardened Steel: Constructed from high-quality 20CrMnTi or SK2 steel. It undergoes vacuum heat treatment to reach a uniform hardness of HRC 58-62, preventing distortion and resisting wear.
Multi-Sided Operation: Precision ground on the bottom, both sides, and the end. You can orient the vise in any direction on a magnetic chuck without losing your reference zero.
V-Groove Jaw Design: The movable jaw features horizontal and vertical V-grooves, allowing for the secure and accurate clamping of round workpieces (like pins, punches, or small shafts).
As a professional manufacturer of precision machine tool accessories, we deliver uncompromising quality at a fraction of the cost of European or Japanese brands.
Comprehensive Size Range: We stock all standard models including QKG25, QKG36, QKG38, QKG50, QKG63, QKG73, QKG80, QKG100, QKG125, and QKG150 (The number represents the jaw width in mm).
Strict Quality Control: Every vise is individually inspected with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and comes with a factory inspection certificate.
OEM & Customization: We offer laser engraving of your brand logo and custom packaging for distributors and wholesalers.
Fast Global Shipping: Our large inventory ensures quick dispatch for both sample orders and bulk shipments.
Q1: What is the exact difference between the QKG and QGG vises?
A:
QKG (Pin Type): Uses a pin inserted into holes for quick, stepped adjustments, followed by a small screw for final tightening. It is faster to adjust for different sized parts and has a slightly lower profile.
QGG (Screw Type): Uses a continuous threaded lead screw and a crank handle to open/close the jaws. It is better for applying very consistent, heavy clamping force but is slower to open/close over large distances.
Q2: How does the final clamping work if it uses a pin?
A: The pin only sets the rough position of the jaw. Inside the movable jaw block, there is a built-in hex locking screw. Once the pin is in place, you use an Allen wrench (hex key) to tighten this screw, which pushes the jaw face forward to securely clamp the workpiece.
Q3: Can this vise be used for CNC milling?
A: The QKG vise is designed for surface grinding, EDM, inspection, and light milling/drilling. For heavy-duty CNC milling, we highly recommend our GT Series Precision Modular Vises, which are built to withstand heavy cutting forces.
Q4: How do I mount the QKG vise?
A: Because it is made of magnetic steel, the most common method is placing it directly onto a magnetic chuck on a surface grinder. For non-magnetic setups, it can be clamped using standard toe clamps gripping the slots on the sides of the vise base.
Maximize your toolroom efficiency with our quick-action QKG vises.
