The HSK-A (Hollow Shank Taper) ER Collet Chuck represents the pinnacle of modern CNC tool holding technology. Dual-Contact Rigidity: The HSK-A design ensures simultaneous contact between the tool holder's taper and the machine spindle's face. This massive increase in radial and axial rigidity eliminates vibration during heavy or high-speed cuts.
Ultra-Precision Runout: The internal ER taper and the external HSK taper are precision ground in a single setup. Runout (T.I.R.) is strictly controlled to ≤ 0.003mm (0.00012") at the taper, ensuring even chip loads and extending cutting tool life.
High-Speed Dynamic Balancing: Every HSK-A chuck is precision dynamically balanced to G2.5 @ 25,000 RPM (or higher upon request). This protects your expensive spindle bearings from premature failure and ensures flawless surface finishes.
Coolant-Through Capability: Standard HSK-A holders are designed with an internal coolant tube bore (coolant tubes sold separately), allowing high-pressure coolant to flow directly through the center of the cutting tool for superior chip evacuation and cooling.

Q1: What is the difference between HSK-A and HSK-E or HSK-F?
A:
HSK-A: Designed for standard to high-speed machining. It features drive slots (keyways) on the flange for maximum torque transmission and a bore for an internal coolant tube. It is the most common style for metalworking.
HSK-E & HSK-F: Designed for ultra-high-speed machining (often wood or plastics). They are perfectly symmetrical (no drive slots) for perfect balance but cannot transmit as much heavy torque as HSK-A.
Q2: Do I need a special nut for high-speed machining?
A: Yes. While standard hex nuts are fine for lower speeds, for high-speed HSK applications (above 10,000 RPM), we highly recommend using Mini (M) nuts or Slotted (UM/Hex-Free) nuts. These designs are more symmetrical, reducing windage and maintaining perfect dynamic balance.
Q3: Is the coolant tube included with the HSK-A holder?
A: Generally, the HSK coolant tube and the special wrench required to install it are sold separately, as some users do not require through-spindle coolant. Please specify if you need coolant tubes included in your quote.
