Company Profile
Pingyuan Zhenghao Machinery CO, LTD was found in 1998, professional produced GT precision modular vise, quick change tool post, tool holder, collets, end mills. It is a professional manufacturer of CNC lathe accessories in china. We have export experience for more than 10 years , Our productions export to more than 20 countries and regions.
Our company adheres to the principles of "quality first, customers supreme and reputation fundamental". we sincerely welcome foreign customers to visit us .
During CNC tapping cycles, even a slight mismatch between the machine's programmed feed rate and the actual pitch of the tap can generate immense thrust forces, leading to oversized threads or catastrophic tap breakage. The Telescopic Tapping Tool Holder is engineered to solve this. Incorporating a highly responsive internal spring mechanism, the holder provides axial float (it can stretch out in tension and push back in compression). This "cushion" absorbs any synchronization errors, allowing the tap to follow its own pitch perfectly into the workpiece. Paired with the ultra-fast GT collet system, it is the ultimate solution for high-volume, secure thread making.
Tension & Compression (Axial Float): Built-in length compensation protects the tap from excessive axial forces during the spindle reversal phase at the bottom of a blind hole, preventing snapping and extending tool life.
GT Quick-Change System: The holder accepts industry-standard GT12 or GT24 tap collets. The quick-release ball-bearing mechanism allows operators to swap taps in seconds without the use of any wrenches.
Wide Machining Range:
GT12 Interface: Ideal for smaller taps, typically covering M2 to M14/M16.
GT24 Interface: Designed for heavy-duty tapping, covering M5 up to M30.
Universal Tap Compatibility: Whether you use ISO, JIS, or DIN standard taps, we supply the corresponding GT collets with the exact shank and square drive dimensions to ensure a 100% positive, slip-free grip.
High-Precision BT Shank: The MAS 403 BT shanks (BT30, BT40, BT50) are manufactured from premium 20CrMnTi alloy steel, case-hardened, and precision-ground to AT3 taper accuracy for maximum rigidity and spindle contact.
Direct Manufacturer Savings: Source your complete tapping systems directly from our factory, bypassing middlemen for highly competitive wholesale costs.
Complete Tooling Packages: We supply the telescopic holders as well as a full range of matching GT collets (both rigid and torque-control/overload protection types).
Strict Quality Control: Every holder undergoes rigorous testing for axial float smoothness, taper accuracy, and dynamic balance before shipment to ensure flawless performance out of the box.
Q1: What is the difference between GT12 and GT24?
A: The difference lies in the physical size of the quick-change interface and the tapping capacity. GT12 is a smaller, more compact interface designed for taps ranging from M2 to M16. GT24 is a larger, more robust interface designed to handle the higher torque required for larger taps, ranging from M5 up to M30. You must choose the holder that matches the size of the GT collets you intend to use.
Q2: Do I need to buy the GT collets separately?
A: Yes, the telescopic tool holder and the GT tap collets are typically sold separately, as different jobs require different tap sizes and standards. We offer complete sets or individual collets. You can choose between Rigid GT collets or Torque-Control (Overload Protection) GT collets which feature a slip clutch to further prevent tap breakage in blind holes.
Q3: My CNC machine has "Rigid Tapping" capability. Do I still need a telescopic holder?
A: While modern machines with rigid tapping can use solid chucks (like ER chucks), many machinists still prefer using telescopic (tension/compression) holders. The micro-float provided by the holder reduces the thrust load on the tap's cutting flanks, which significantly improves the surface finish of the thread and extends the life of the tap, especially in tough materials like stainless steel.
Q4: Can I use a JIS standard tap in a DIN standard GT collet?
A:No. Taps manufactured to JIS, DIN, and ISO standards have different shank diameters and driving square dimensions for the exact same thread size (e.g., an M10 tap). You must ensure that the GT collet you select specifically matches the standard (JIS, DIN, or ISO) of the tap you are using, otherwise the tap will not fit or will not be driven securely.
Protect your taps and achieve perfect threads with our BT Telescopic Tapping Tool Holders and GT Collets.
